GERMAN M16 WW1 HELMET WITH CAMO PAINT DESIGN

WW1 German M16 Stahlhelm, steel helmet, comes with a 3 piece padded leather liner and a custom camo paint job. It is constructed of 18 gauge steel with side lugs.

The German Army began to replace the traditional Pickelhaube or spiked helmet with the stahlhelm in 1916.  The Stahlhelm, with its distinctive "coal scuttle" shape, was instantly recognizable and became a common element of propaganda for the Germans just like the Pickelhaube before it.
