WWII GERMAN POLICE DRESS BAYONET BY E. & F. HORSTER

This is an original German Police Parade Bayonet by E. & F. Horster, Solingen. Beautifully detailed pommel with stag horn grip attached by two rivets.

The cross guard also still retains excellent detail and is punch-stamped L.A. 36. with matching number on the scabbard.

The blade is in very good condition with very distinct maker's markings. 

Comes with the original leather-covered scabbard, the leather in excellent condition with the metal tip bearing typical surface wear.

Police insignia is missing. NOTE: the Weimar grip emblems were replaced with the police Third Reich emblem.

Received from the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Museum, Canada. The museum was selling off some of there museum’s items, to make room for more. The museum called it deaccessioning surplus museum artifacts.

The museum numbers their items for inventory purposes and you will see that there is a very small white number on this item put there by the museum. They are very easy to remove with your fingernail.
