GERMAN DEFENSE WEST WALL MEDAL WITH RIBBON

German West Wall medal with ribbon.  It is a oval bronze medal on a suspension loop with its period original ribbon.

The front shows a crossed shovel and sword in the centre and a concrete pillbox bunker directly below, also a German national eagle above, all within an oak leaf wreath.

On the back of the medal it is inscribed “Für Arbeit zum schutze Deutschlands” (For labour for the protection of Germany) within an oak wreath. The medal is 45.46 mm x 32.86 mm and  weighs 17.4 grams.

Over all excellent condition.
