Edward Lodewijk Van Halen born January 26, 1955 was an American musician and songwriter. He was the guitarist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, and primary songwriter of the rock band Van Halen, which he co-founded alongside his brother Alex Van Halen in 1972.
Eddie Van Halen inspired generations of guitarist with his two-handed tapping technique.
He passed away on October 6, 2020.
