US WW2 M1 HELMET WITH LINER AND CHIN STRAP 1943

It is an original WWII swivel bale front seam M1 helmet shell with chin strap.

The liner is complete with full orignal suspension ,sweatband and even early green "A" washers

Has a original cotton herringbone twill (HBT) cloth suspension liner. This HBT suspension is held tightly within the M-1 helmet liner by rivets and a series of triangular Green "A" washers. The three upper suspension bands are joined together with a shoestring.

This  "HIGH PREASURE" liner has the maker mark of Mine Safety Appliance Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

It has an early insignia grommet on the front of the liner.
