US M1 GARAND RIFLE LEATHER JEEP SCABBARD CARRIER JQMD 1943

A period WWII US M1 Garand rifle leather scabbard. Leather is complete with both straps. Retains a nice brown well used colored leather.

Metal bolt protector is complete. A very nice example of a harder to find  LEATHER SCABBARD for the famous M1 Rifle. 

These scabbards were used to attach to Jeeps, motorcycles, horses and other transportation equipment. This kept the rifle at the ready, while also keeping it well secured and protected.

You can tell this scabbard has seen a lot of action in WW2.
