Nicely detailed hollow backed nickel silver Panzer Assault Badge.
This Panzer Assault Badge was manufactured using nickel silver.
The Panzer Assault Badge was introduced on 20 December 1939, and the award was given to tank crews who had actively participated in three armoured assaults on different days.
It was designed by Ernst Peekhaus of Berlin, and was instituted by order of Generaloberst von Brauchitsh.
It was worn on the left pocket of the tunic.
