GERMAN WWII HEER ARMY OBERSCHUTZE SLEEVE PIP DIENSTGRADABZEICHEN

This is an original German WWII Heer Army Oberschütze sleeve rank pip. Dienstgradabzeichen

Consists of a roughly, 55mm diameter bottle green wool base with a central, machine embroidered rank pip in white threads. Excellent condition.

This round insignia was worn by members of the Army who reached the rank of Oberschutze, which took a minimum of 6 months service in the field or replacement army.

This version was authorized for wear by the Wehrmacht and was the same design and size as the black based version but on a bottle green background.

This rank was worn on the upper left sleeve just below the national emblem from institution until January 1942 when the wearing of sleeve rank insignia was forbidden.
