The story of the production of armoured fighting vehicles in Canada during the Second World War is but one chapter in a longer story which includes the 1914 Autocar, the experimental Ford and Chevrolet armoured cars of the 1930's, the battlefield creation of the Kangaroo armoured personnel carrier in Normandy, the post-war Bobvcat and the development of the Cougar and the Coyote in the 1970's and 1990's respectively.
