GREAT BATTLES OF WW11

• D-Day - Battle for the Beach:

This is the story of the Nazi defeat on the Western Front. To tell the story would take years but the theme would remain the same:  "Teamwork wins wars."  Teamwork is necessary among nations, services and men, all the way down the line, from the G.I. to the brass hats. 

• Battle of Britain:

Hitler stood and looked across the English Channel to the one fighting obstacle that stood between him and world domination.  The cliffs of Britain rose sheer and white out of the choppy waters.  Silence that island and its people and the way was open for world conquest.  It was time for the main event.

• Battle of Russia:

History knows no greater display of courage than that shown by the people of the Soviet Union.  The scale and grandeur of the Russian effort mark it as the greatest military achievement in all history.

• Battle of the Volga:

The summer of 1942 was a time of terrible anxiety.  The firing line of the Soviet-German front extended hundreds of miles over Soviet soil from the Arctic Ocean down to the Black Seas.  The fighting was constant.  The troops of the Leningrad front and Baltic sailors put up a valiant defense of the city.  This is their story.
