GERMAN WWII M40 FALLSCHIRMJAGER GREEN JUMP SMOCK

This is a second pattern M40 Paratrooper jump smock in the Grunmeliert green flecked fabric associated with the invasion of Crete. 

Is a step in style smock with top and bottom pockets. 

Also comes with elastic internal cuffs, arm pit vents, belt hook holes, snap buttons and leather tabs for the zipper. 

This WWII jump smock also comes with a factory-stitched breast eagle.

The jump smock was used by German Paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) not only in Crete but in many front- line operations from the Eastern Front, Normandy and Italian Campaign.  Meant to keep equipment from tangling with parachute lines it was to be discarded upon landing however it became a practical smock so soldier retained it especially since it was waterproof.
