GERMAN WW2 RUSSIAN FRONT MEDAL WITH RIBBON MAKER MARKED 85

This is an original WWII Russian Front medal that comes with an original red, white and black ribbon.  Maker marked: 85 which is by Julius Pletsch, Gablonz, N. 

This medal was awarded to both German combatant or non-combatant personnel who had participated in the first winter of Operation Barbarossa during November 15, 1941 to April, 1942.   

This medals shows an eagle holding a swastika on the front and the text:  Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42" ("Winter Battle in the East 1941/42") on the back. The back also has a crossed sword and a branch.
