GERMAN WW2 ORIGINAL LUFTWAFFE FIRST MODEL DAGGER

This is a 1st model 1934 Luftwaffe dagger. The grip and scabbard are covered in blue leather. The pommel, cross-guard and scabbard fittings are made of metal and have a polished silver finish. The pommel and cross-guard also feature a swastika on both sides.   There is no sheath included.

Maker marked  E. & f. Horser, Solingen.  Hörster's began in 1850 when the firm began trading as "Friedrich Hörster" and later "F Hörster & Co." In 1870, Friedrich Emil and Fritz Hörster and the Blank Waffenfabrik company changed its name to "E. & F. Hörster." It registered with the Solingen authorities on May 10, 1872.
