GERMAN WW2 LABOR - FRONT DAF ALUMINUM WALL PLAQUE

This is an original Third Reich DAF (Deutsche Arbeitsfront) German Labor-Front aluminum wall plaque.

This is a cast plaque in the form of the DAF emblem, which is a cut-out swastika within a fourteen-toothed cog.  It measures approximately 20cm (7/87”) in diameter. Note that one of the cogs is missing. 

The German Labor- Front was founded in 1933, becoming an official NSDAP organization in October 1934. Its purpose was to educate the workers in industry and commerce in furtherance of the smooth and efficient operation of all labor in the Third Reich. However, DAF’s most important goal was to enforce the political stability of the large mass of work force.
