GERMAN WW2 10th SS PANZER DIVISION FRUNDSBERG SILVER RING

This is a German WWII 10th SS Panzer Division Frundsberg silver ring.  The ring is made of sterling silver, die struck. Red hot enamel.

The 10th SS Panzer Division "Frundsberg", an armoured Waffen SS division’s first battles were in April, 1944 in the Ukraine.  Transferred later to fight the Allies in France and in Arnhem.

The division was then sent to Pomerania (Poland) and then fought in the Lusatian area southeast of Berling.  Encircled in the Halbe Pocket, they broke out and retreated to Moritzburg, before reaching the area of Teplice in Czechoslovakia.  It is here that the division surrendered to the US Army at the end of the war.
