GERMAN 5th SS RED WIKING THUNDER CROSS SILVER RING

This is a German WWII SS Wiking Thunder cross silver ring.  The ring is made of sterling silver, die struck. Red hot enamel. Two piece construction. Made in sterling silver .925. 

The SS Division "Wiking" or the "Wiking" Division, first formed in Nov 1940 named "Germania" has it's named changed at the end of 1940, to Wiking and was one of the 38 divisions of the Waffen-SS during WW2. This division consisted partly of foreign volunteers from Scandinavia but also from other European countries.
