GERMAN SS NORGE VIKING SHIP 1940 SILVER RING - REPRODUCTION
This is a Germanske SS Norge (GSSN) sterling silver ring. Inside marked 830 J.J.
The Norges SS was formed despite fierce opposition and SS Norge was renamed Germanske SS Norge in 1942.
A lot of the members served in various unites manned by Norwegians fighting on the Eastern Front and the SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment Norge of the SS Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier Division Norland.
A company of only GSSN members was also made and became the only Germanic SS formation that was used a front-line formation.
