GERMAN SS ALUMINUM BELT BUCKLE

This is a high end early 60's or 70's Waffen SS aluminum belt buckle by Tony Oliver. Tony Oliver was an English dealer who tried to pass these off as originals. They are actually getting quite collectible in their own right. 

Tony put the normal RZM and SS markings on the back of the buckle but used the maker mark:  OLT 62637 as shown in the image.  This actually stands for Tony's initials backwards and then his phone number.

The front of the buckle has a raised SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h).
