GERMAN SOLDIERS NIGHT LEAVE BOOKLET - NACHTURLAUBSBUCH

This is an original German night leave, or night away, booklet. Dated starting in 1942.

This small booklet was used when the soldiers got time away during the nights.  When soldiers wanted to leave the barracks for overnight stays such as for visiting their family, friends or even to go to the bar, cinema, etc. they needed the permission of their company sergeant.

The sergeant wrote the time and date into this book.  This booklet became very important because if the MP control stopped a soldier without this documentation they could be punished.
