GERMAN ORIGINAL 25 YEAR FAITHFUL SERVICE CROSS, 2ND CLASS WITH CASE

This is an original Faithful Service Cross 2nd Class with it's original display case.  This award is complete with its original blue ribbon and comes in a presentation case covered in red leatherette and red felt interior. With a silver circle and the number 25 on the front of the case.  The inside lid is marked “WACHTLER & LANGE, MITTWEIDA”. 

Awarded to German civilians who were employed by the German government for “long and faithful” service. It was used as loyalty incentive to employees in any of the local, regional or national levels of public works.

This medal has a silver Pattée cross with a silver oak leaf wreath and a black swastika. This WW2 medal also came with it's original cornflower blue ribbon and intact pin. The back of this is marked with Gothic script 'Für Treue Dienst' (For Faithful Service).
