Original German WWII M42 Normandy Camouflage Painted Battlefield Pickup Helmet 64 shell

Just brought this Normandy camo M42 shell back from my trip to France. It's a size 64.  This helmet was originally an Africa Corp desert tan color, but was repainted a Normandy camo color to match the battle field in France.

This helmet was recovered about 3 kilometres from Treviers, Normandy, France, which makes it approximately 6 kilometres from Omaha Beach, where our house is located.

So this shell has some great WW11 and D-Day history.
