GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE NAVY JACKET POST WAR REPRESENTATION

This Captains Navy Jacket from the 1940's has a double row of the iconic golden coloured anchor design buttons.

The jacket also has two waist pockets with top flaps, one chest pocket and one internal pocket.  Along with four black strips for Captain on the lower sleeves.

The black stripes were popular with sea crews as they did not tarnish.

This jacket has his WWI Imperial German Iron Cross 2nd Class & 1914-1918 War Merit Medal Ribbon Bar from WWI.

Worn by Karl Weltrien, a Captain with the Kreigsmarine who then served on after WW2 in the mine removal service.

We have a document of his record seen in the picture were British Naval Forces Germany 1946 ordering him for mine removal service on a German mine sweeping administration document . Stange but true . Document not included .

The jacket has a double row of the iconic golden coloured anchor design buttons. The jackets also has two waist pockets with top flaps, one chest pocket and one internal pockets.

This jacket has no sign of a Nazi Eagle or Kriegsmarine Navy so probably is a post war Navy jacket he used after WW2 in the mine removal service in the Baltic sea and Norwegian sea.

So jacket could be war time or post war.  Still in good condition for its age with a few small holes.

Still represents a nice naval jacket from this era and not different from German Kriegsmarine Navy Jacket.

Great for your mannequin Kriegsmarine Navy display.

Size 34 chest.
