KS-98 Stag Grip Dress Bayonet
This stag grip dress bayonet is a nice example of this desirable bayonet type. The blade is outstanding with nice and bright nickel plating. The blade ricasso is neatly stamped with the maker mark of Horster E.u.F. Co. GMBH Solingen with logo. The original leather buffer pad is still present on the blade.
The bayonet handle comes with the desirable stag grip plates in great condition that are held tightly in place with the original rivets.The stag material has a great look, with a mellow patina.
The nickel silver plated blade has some wear/speckling to the blade and hilt plating but overall in really nice condition
The nickel silver plated blade is 195mm(7 3/4") long
Has a working spring catch.
Bayonet is complete with its original glossy black painted steel scabbard that retains around 80% original paint, the general condition is very good.

Received from the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Museum, Canada. The museum was selling off some of there museum’s items, to make room for more. The museum called it deaccessioning surplus museum artifacts.
