M31 ALUMINUM CANTEEN WITH BAKELITE CUP AND STRAP SET - ORIGINAL
This is an original 1943 M31 German 1 litre aluminum canteen with felt cover and strap.
The cup is bakelit. The canteen is maker marked G & CW for maker: Colsmann & Co, Werdohl and the canteen cup is maker marked: "GFC" ( for maker Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Sudetenland.
On the metal clip that the canteen hangs from is marked with a stylized “S”.
The felt cover has been marked with the name BAKER and a possible soldiers number.
Great looking piece.
