GERMAN WWI LP.08 ARTILLERY LUGER HOLSTER, STOCK RIG AND CLEANING ROD ORIGINAL 1917

This is an original WW1 Imperial Artillery Luger stock and holster, complete with shoulder straps and cleaning rod.

Excellent condition complete WW1 Luger holster and shoulder stock rig comes complete with cleaning rod and shoulder strap.  Maker marked and dated 1917. Maker Vereinigte Sattlermeister GmbH, ELBERFELD, Elberfeld is a municipal subdivision of the German city of Wuppertal.

The brown leather is in nice condition with early brass fastening studs.  Fitted to the rear of the holster is the totally intact wooden pistol stock that bears a nice Imperial Cartouche acceptance stamp.
The stitching is all original as well with no missing stitches. The wood stock is in good shape.  A very respectable stock rig to accompany your artillery Luger pistol.
In 1913, the German army, authorized by the Emperor, commissioned a version of the Parabellum P.08 pistol from DWM (Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken AG), with a long barrel and removable stock (Lange Pistole 08).

A leather holster for the artillery parabellum was made for transporting and storing from a brown or a black leather. Wooden shoulder stock could be attached to the leather holster with mounting straps and five screws. The leather strap of the leather holster could be attached with a magazine pouch for two magazines. Leather holsters were usually marked with manufacturer's information on the underside of the flap.
