WW2 USAAF US Army Air Corps Electric Flying Shoe Inserts

Army Air Force shoe, flying, electric overshoe insert TYPE Q-1 Size L by GE Made In USA

Manufactured by the Northern Electric Company.  Size large (9 - 10).  A heated shoe/flying boot insert for use in the A-6 and A-6A boots in conjunction with F-2 and F-3 flying suits.  Excellent, unissued condition.  Army Air Force stamped/labelled. Made in 1945

Original WW2 surplus. O.D. cotton with tie straps and terminal snaps. Like-new condition. These only come in size L (Large)

American high altitude flight booties.  Bomber crews wore these inside their boots to warm their feet.  They were plugged into a socket that was adjusted by a heat control knob.

They were part of the electric flight suit.
