This US Mitchell pattern helmet camo cover is reversible, showing a green "jungle" pattern on one side and a beige-colored "Fall" or "Desert" pattern on the opposite side.
The Mitchell helmet cover was worn on the M1 combat helmets in Vietnam. The Mitchell pattern camouflage helmet cover was introduced in 1959 and was issued by the U.S. Army and U.S.M.C. through the duration of the Vietnam war.
