This original angular socket bayonet was made for the Model 1835 / 42 musket.
This U.S. MODEL 1835 / 1842 SOCKET BAYONET is 20 5/8” long overall with a weight of 11 ounces. The tapered blade portion measures almost 18 7/8” long, ¾” wide, 3/8” thick and the socket is 2 5/8” long with a bore diameter of .848”.
