GERMAN NSDAP SA COTTON ARM BAND WITH SWASTIKA ORIGINAL

This is an original German cotton armband.  This nice quality SA multi-piece construction armband features a black cotton Swastika mounted on a white cotton circle which in turn is stitched to the red cotton fabric body of the armband itself.

It was worn by the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) or Nazi Party members.

The SA armband is probably one of the most recognizable pieces of German WW2 militaria associated with the Nazi Party. 

The SA armband is approximately 4.25 inches wide x 7.5 inches long laying flat or 15 inch in diameter when opened up.

Excellent condition and rare.

We bought it from a fellow from Germany who says the following about the armband :

"They had been in family ownership. They are clean, not used, 100 % guarantee that they are originals from the grandfather of my wife.  He was as a teacher in a small school near Frankfurt. Because of that, the NSDAP pressured him, to become a member. So he became one, got that stuff for to wear on NSDAP meetings. But he appeared rarely, because he didn't want to participate. So the stuff stayed home. My mother-in-law placed that into her sewing material between books and other things.  So it was out of their minds. Now she is in an old people home and we clean out and empty the home, to rent it. That is when we found it."
