GERMAN WW2 PILOT FLARE PISTOL AMMO LEG BAND - ORIGINAL
This original canvas fabric flare holder was strapped to the leg and worn by Luftwaffe pilots and crew most often below or right above the knee. The flare strap holds 6 flares. The strap is 56 cm long by 4 cm wide and is marked with L.B.A. (S) 40.
Also used by Fallschirmjäger / Paratroopers
L.B.A. is the abbreviation for Luftwaffebekleidungsamt which means Airforce Clothing Department.
The holder comes with two original spent German flares.
