This is the story of Germany’s defeat in North Africa, featuring abundant combat film and narration by General Eisenhower.  The Allied forces sent to finalize the region’s liberation faced a great unknown.  France, obedient to their German conquerors, had sizeable fighting forces in North Africa.  Could they be persuaded to co-operate with the Allies?  Overcoming French firepower was only the first step.  Next came delicate diplomacy.   At last working as one, French, American and British forces are shown dealing defeat to an entrenched, brilliantly led German foe.
