U.S.S.
HARDER AUTHENTIC The U.S.S. Harder is one of the most famous American submarines to serve in the United States fleet in WW11. It's commander, Sam Dealy, won the Medal of Honor, one of only seven to be awarded to American sub skippers during the war. His sub's motto was "Hit 'em Harder!", and he and his crew did. Sam earned his well deserved fame by attacking enemy destroyers head-on, sinking many with "Down-the-throat" shots. Such daring exacted a high cost, however, and the U.S.S. Harder was lost in action with all hands. During WW11 seven American submareine commanders were awarded the Metal of Honor. Of these seven medals, three were awarded posthumously. This is the only limited edition that will ever be signed by all four Medal of Honor winning sub skippers who survived the war. The edition is also signed by Chester Nimits, Jr., winner of the Navy Cross and the last man to see Sam Dealy before the U.S.S. Harder was lost.
