On
3500 square meter exhibition surface, in 2 halls, almost 4000 exhibits, beneath
it 35 real airplanes, 400 airplane models, over 20 piston motors, jet engines,
pilot clothing, books, documents, carriages, motor vehicles and things of the
daily requirement. Absolute highlights are: Original Spitfire of the Royal Airforce as only specimen in a German museum, the representation of the salvage of 4 Ju 52 at the polar circle in the summer 1986 as well as the project 2000, the salvage and restoration of a Focke Wulf L.G. 190 A from the Cheiner moorland near Salzwedel. Declared target of the museum and the members of the promotion association is to maintain and constantly develop a place for the representation of the history of aviation. |
